Trews

This past Thursday we went to the Trews concert at the school for frosh week. It wasn't a bad concert but there weren't a lot of people there, which kind of made it dull. We had a good time regardless, although I left before the show was over.

School is also going well...getting settled in to the routine. I have a lot of essay and group projects this year. The essays I don't mind but I'm not a fan of group projects. They have to be done though so I'll get use to them. We now have to start thinking about applying to graduate and ordering our X rings. All fun stuff! Anyway, some pictures from the concert:

The girls: Me, Shae Chrissy and Amanda waiting for the Trews to start. I should add that the weather was very cooperative for this concert as well.

The third year crew: Beth Brake, Lydie, Erika and Shae.

The VIP party animals! I'm not sure who the first girl is in the picture, but after her there's Steph, Steven and Lydia

New Harris & Back To School

This past weekend the girls and I went to New Harris for one last great weekend before we got back into the grind of school. The weather did it's part in making it a wonderful time as well. Amanda's boyfriend Scott had some of his friends up so it made for a really nice weekend. Most of the day the guys were out on the four wheelers (or quads as Chrissy calls them) so we lazed around. Angela joined us Saturday for the day.

School started up on monday with some orientation stuff at the hospital and the school. Yesterday we went through our syllabus which was fun but overwhelming. I don't like to see it altogether like that...makes it scary. Clinical looks like it's going to be good. We have the same groups each time and Chrissy is in mine which is awesome. And we have Debbie again which I'm really excited about. I enjoyed my clinical with her last time. I also have Willena, Corrine and Janice who are all good as well. It looks like it's going to be a good clinical lineup...I go to 4C again, then emerg, community and 3A. I also have to figure out where I want to go for my independent practice (they want to know by friday!). Willena says we should go somewhere different than our co-ops because this is the chance to have that type of experience. I could go to toronto if I wanted to. Or maybe NICU in the IWK. AHHH decisions! Anyway..some pictures. Starting at the top is me getting ready for the big jump while Chloe and Amanda watch. To the right here is all of us minus Jenn in the hot tub (those things are the best....I think we need one at the house)

Do you remember that dance to the song "Can't Touch This" by MC Hammer? Well Jennifer and I decided we could still do it. The one from behind we're doing the down and up part during the music part. I'm not sure what we're trying to do in the other picture.

Two more pictures: Us on the dock (as my mainland cousins refer to it) and Chrissy and I in the water after my big jump. It was chilly but refreshing. Not numbing anyway. The rest are Chrissy and Amanda lounging on the way cool chairs, and all of us girls enjoying our last afternoon of freedom before school starts...left to right Angela, Chrissy, Me, Amanda.

*Rumble Rumble*

Happy Labour day and September everyone! I haven't posted for awhile...mostly because I haven't had a whole lot happen lately that was worth posting on a blog. I finished my time at IWK (sadly). The girls on my floor got me a cake and had a little potluck dinner thing as a surprise. It was really nice although it was at three AM! I have some pictures from my last day in Halifax when I went for a walk. Everyone in my family who blogs has friends with babies...well all my friends have dogs and cats as babies! So I took some pictures of my "nephew" askem and my "neice" Roxy. They are my friend Shannon's dog and cat. I also have some nice pictures of the hospital that I took...the new part and the south st. entrance that I would use to get to and from work.

On Sunday my parents and I went for a bike ride up around baddek. It was a long ride for me because I'm not use to the bikes yet and my dad's back seat led to a sore behind. Alex and Lou wanted to come as well but they changed their minds when the bikes were started.
