Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

I went to see this movie with Jenn the other day. I wasn't sure if I'd like it because I'd never seen the other one and the only knowledge I had about it was the annoying song Jenn kept singing (no offence). It turned out I loved the movie. There were parts in it where everything was really quiet (they did that a lot...had no music during dialouge so we'd pay more attention to reactions) and I'd burst out laughing at whatever was just said...before anyone else did! I love Johnny Depp anyway, and the little kid who was in Finding Neverland with him. I think I"m going to start a collection of his movies now. Meanwhile I highly suggest you go see this movie.

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.

I went and got this book the day it came out...I was really excited for it to come in actually. I got in to harry potter a few years back when I bought the first book on sale at my dad's store to see what the craze was all about. Well I figured it out pretty quick. This book is number six in the series, and the second last one. It goes into a lot of explaination about the evil guy and how he came to be so, and we leave the book finding out just what Harry has to do in book seven. I highly suggest everyone read this book, but not before you read the other five or you'll be LOST!

Busy Busy

I've been working a lot the past few weeks, and so haven't been blogging as much as usual. And I haven't really got any pictures to post either, so it doesn't make for a very interesting time. On the first of August Jenn and I are going camping wich should be a lot of fun. We were trying to get a lot of people together but that fell through. Then on the 21st I'm going to visit Shannon in the valley, with a stop in Halifax to visit some university friends for the day. Should prove to have some fun stories anyway.

Trying This Out

I wanted to see how well this worked so I just uploaded a picture that I'd made a while ago. Turned out pretty good.

What's Wrong With This World?

Police confirmed that 33 people have been killed after four near-simultaneous explosions rocked London during Thursday's morning rush hour. More than 300 were wounded, 45 of those with critical and serious injuries.
Police received no warning ahead of the blasts, nor claims of responsibility since, London Metro Police spokesperson Brian Paddick said at a news conference.
"This clearly was a callous attack on innocent members of the public deliberately designed to kill and injure," he said.
Meanwhile, emergency services personnel told CNN that rescue operations at King's Cross, a major transportation hub, were complete and all survivors had been successfully evacuated.
The explosions hit three subway stations and a double-decker bus in near-simultaneous attacks, beginning at 8:51 a.m. (3:51 a.m. ET) and ended about 40 minutes later when a blast ripped the top off a bus in Tavistock Square in central London.

Insane.

Yey Heat

Yesterday was really warm out so Jenn (my best friend) and I went to the beach to swim and start getting the tans going. We had a good time, although at one point we were swimming and the tide changed without us knowing so it was a fight to get back to our part of the beach! We made it though. We're both strong swimmers, and it was shallow where we were anyway so we could walk if we got tired.

So the pictures are of Jenn and I at the Gut, and then one from Big Glace Bay, where we stopped to check out but the water was way too cold to stay in for very long. And I posted a picture of my tattoo for whoever might be interested in seeing it.

Canada Day Weekend....And July Fourth Too

Well I finally learned how to use photoshop to put pictures together which makes it a little easier than posting each picture seperately. Over the weekend (bottom two pictures) we went camping at Scott's Uncles cabin. The place is huge, I might post more pictures...I think I have some of the land. It rained a lot all weekend, but it was downpour, stop, downpour, stop. So we'd go out when it stopped and back in when it rained. My tent got put to the test as well, and did wonderfully.

Today we went out to mira to see John, Dana and Angus. I can't get over how big he's getting now....and he's talking so much. As you can see, he had a good time throwing the rocks around. He also likes to splash and is getting use to the water situation. That bathing suit he has lets him float as well as being a suit so it's really neat.

That's it for right now. Tonight I have to work so I'm going to bed soon for a little while.
