Banquet a Success

So despite worrying up until the point where everyone was served that there wouldn't been enough plates of food to go around, the fact that the microphone didn't work very well and I really had to project my voice and the fact that at one point Judy walked away with my cheat notes, the banquet went really well. Everyone says I did a good job with the MC stuff which is good. They also said I looked confident which is funny because I was scared to death inside. Here are some pictures... Up top is the faculty and I'm going to attempt to name them. Left to right Loretta, Willena, Helen, Shelia, Judy, Jill. Then in front left to right: Barb, Audrey, Clare, Elizabeth, Debbie and Corinne. We're missing Kim and Claudette because they are in their respective hot vacations, Evelyn and Cyndee who snuck away during this picture taking and Meg, our secratary who left before we had a chance to do the picture. Oh and Brenda and Odette who couldn't make the banquet.

I'm not sure if this is all going to work out. I've had trouble posting this and then decided to go back and try to label the pictures :S. We have Me, Clare and Duncan standing next to the beautiful green things, then me and Clare once I finished the whole MC business (that one is above)

Here are the fourth years posing for all the cameras and Chris and his boyfriend Robert. Robert did our decorating and he did an amazing job I must say.

To the left is the third year class plus Debbie, a first year. I guess now we're senior students! And to the right is a lovely picture of Amanda and I next to the green thing. I seem to have lost a couple of pictures while I was posting this. I know one was the faculty one at the top but I'm not sure what the other one was.

Party Time

This week so far has been spent getting ready for the nursing banquet, and trying to tie big knots in all the loose ends. I spent this morning in Clare's office calling people and trying for the second time to figure out the numbers for the caterer. Then it was brought to my attention that our guest speakers name was spelt wrong, so I had to redo the programs. The afternoon was spent in Judy's office printing them and starting to write what I had to say when I MC this thing. I'm looking forward to the banquet, though. It's always a lot of fun. Here are some pictures from our end of clinical outing to the Bonnie, also a fun outing.
